'Twas a Normal day...

Today was a pretty typical high school day- go to class, do work, etc. etc. Except today my friends made me sit outside, even though it was COOOLLLDDD! The wind was killer. It may look like spring but unfortunately, winter had not left us yet! :c

I've been DYING to break out my spring clothes and FLIPFLOPSS! (I got a wonderful floral skirt in Boston that I really really want to wear) but unfortunately, I'm a realist. Boots it is for me!

So instead of actual blog content, please enjoy this link to a baby bunny eating a flower. It made my day much better, and I hope it makes yours better too.

Muse, Coffeehouse, Heartbreak and Everything in Between

GAH. I'M STILL ALIVE. Sheesh, it's been a damn while since I've posted. I apologize. Things have been less than perfect lately, but the sun is shining and I'm feeling muchly better.

Thing 1: If you remember a LONG while ago I was talking about my school play. Well that's done and gone, but we had a great performance! Record amount of people came, which was AWESOME. Plus, it was a comedy, which is just fun fun fun to perform.

Thing 2: Another record breaker- I'm the president of the "Unity Club" at my school, which is essentially a club that tries to raise money for various causes and charities and such. Well I have been working my BUTTOCKS off for weeks and when the coffeehouse finally came around, we had an excellent one! a large amount of people came, and we made over $350 for Haiti. Of course I had to be the great white shark and kick a few people out, but it was awesome. We had a girl do an acoustic cover of Bad Romance, a skit and a comedy routine, as well as many musical performers. Excellent!

Thing 3 MUSE CONCERT! I went to Boston with my big sister Erin to go see Muse and Silversun Pickups in concert and WOW. It was the best show I have ever been to. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. They played most of my favorite songs, and even though we were in the nosebleeds, I still had a great view. Although, I would have liked to have been close enough to see the sweat running off Matthew Bellamy's face. Did I mention I have the biggest crush on him ever? <3

Ah, I love him.
It was a wonderful day, we went up on Saturday to Cambridge to go vintage shopping and just wander 'round Boston. We then got delicious pizza, and buzzed off to the concert.
But I've got to see, that was one HELL of a show. If you ever get the chance to see them live, DO IT. They sound exactly like they do on their album, plus they're just straight up FANTASTIC.

Well that's enough updating for now. I promise to be more regular about updates. Plus, it's gone from winter to spring in 2.5 seconds here (it was 60 degrees today! in early March! it was awesome!) So you'll see some more pictures from the outside world.

Social Experiment- Do Blondes Have More Fun?

Gah, I'm such a bad person. It's literally been a week since I've posted. Sorry!

It's February vacation os I've been running around having a good time :) my last Feb. vacation- I can't believe it! I feel like life has been going on without me noticing it.

Well, over the week I've been to 2 sleepovers (bad idea- I HATE sleepovers. I always get really uncomfortable and I hate everyone in the morning and I need to sleep with a light on and no one ever turns one on. It's just bad.) And a MILLION rehersals. But something really fun I did- I dyed my friend's hair blonde!

She has to be a blonde for the play I'm in- A Time for Maddness- but no one guess she would actually dye it. It was a pretty good time.

So now that she's blonde, we're putting the belief that "blondes have more fun" to the test. Will she have more fun? So far, results inconclusive.

BAD JOKE FRIDAY

So I've decided I'm doing this every week. GET EXCITED

Why do pigs make good spies?
They're good at in-HOG-nito!

oh, and 3 followers! 2 more and I'll...do something. Maybe do a ridiculous dance and post it here for you to enjoy.

I wish I had some sort of boyfriend-significant-other-type-person. Not for the whole relationship thing, only so I wouldn't be stuck trying to take pictures by myself. I've put myself into all sorts of weird angles trying to get pictures of my outfits...

It's times like these when I question the functionality of my giant window

A random title, I know, but that's what was running through my head all day today. A little background- I have a really tall room. Like vaulted ceiling, giant lamp, the whole works. However, my room was very poorly designed. My heat vents are on the ceiling, and I have a GIANT window. Not that I don't love it, it's just- not very functional when it comes to extreme weather like today.

Not that today was very extreme. I've seen sneezes that dusted up more snow. Sheesh. Meanwhile the south is getting all the snow and all the attention. Guys- the storm LITERALLY circled around Connecticut. I was watching the dopplary radar going "WTF"
(to which my dad told me not to use that kind of language in the house.)

Not that it wasn't a good day. I got to catch up on sleep, homework and do a little networking for the blog, as well as make the design a littl prettier! you like?

But I actually ran outside and took some pictures of me frolicking in the snow for you guys-

A good day, I'd have to say.
What about you guys? Did you get hit with this big monster or did it just decide to ignore you too?

Today Will Be Better, I Swear! ....Not so much.

So I'm pretty sure Whatever deity exists pulled me up on their god computer, and hit the SUCK button for the past 2 days. Here's a little snippet of how thing's have been going- I got accidently felt up at play practice. BRAUGH.

But, having such bad days have made me really come to appreciate the little things in life- a hot shower, class starting at 8:20, a new floral tank top, french braiding my hair, my favorite music and taking silly pictures with my "twin" (whose name is Kaela, and we wer born 12 hours apart. INSANE I TELL YOU.)

I'm so elegantly mature.

Oh, also some exciting news- I got invited to play tennis at my future college, Plymouth State! So excited. I <3 tennis, and now I'm going into the school year with a group of people I know, as well as an adult who knows me. Awesome.

Today's moral- Things will always get better. And if they don't- well, music and a hot bath at the end of the day is always a soul soother.

Olive Garden- the McDonalds of Italian Food Restaurants

Today was a good day- I spent a majority of it sleeping and waiting for the snow that seemed to be falling everywhere in the country- that is, except Connecticut.
I feel left out. Where is our crippling weather? WHERE IS OUR 1-2 FEET OF SNOW?!

(actually, I take that back. I don't feel like being dragged out of my nice warm house to snowplow the 200 ft. that is the sidewalk in front of my house.)

Later we went to Olive Garden (which was so crowded you would think Judgement day was coming. "Last meal? WE'RE GOING TO OLIVE GARDEN.") And finally managed to clear off all the cobwebs we had formed while waiting and got to our table. 'Twas an excellent dinner, mostly because of the delicious free bread and good company.

I realized tonight how much I've really grown as a person and love and appreciate my friends. Example- my best friend Stevie. I've known this guy FOREVER, and we started becoming really close friends in 7th grade, and have been close ever since.

Now Stevie has a stutter and ADHD. I've known about the stutter since we've been friends and I really don't notice it anymore, and honestly you can barely tell he has ADHD. He's just THE NICEST GUY you will ever meet. He's so funny, so unbelievably nice, and so extremely positive. And I love that about him. People give him SO MUCH shit for being weird, and he just laughs it off. And you'd think people would lay off as we got older, but they really don't. But ever since we've become good friends, I BITE THE HEADS OFF people who make fun of him. One of the girls who we don't normally hang out with was at dinner and made fun of his stutter, and I wanted SO BAD to just let this girl have it. Unfortunately, we were in a public place. Don't worry though- I am confident this girl will get hers. ;D

This is one thing I truly hate about high school. The reaction to someone being different or having a disability is to treat them like a pariah.

This is something I'd really like to change in the word- the stigma against mental disorders. Because, frankly people, we're all a little different :)
